How to Play Word Tiles

Drag letter tiles into the boxes to find hidden words. Follow the numbers, solve 30 challenging levels, and enjoy a relaxing word puzzle game right in your browser.

1. Find the hidden words. Look at the empty slots to see how many letters each word contains. Any letters already shown are clues.
2. Drag letters into the boxes. Drop anywhere inside a word row to fill its next empty box, or tap a tile to add it to the highlighted word. Choose letters from anywhere on the board; they do not need to be next to each other. A full word checks automatically. Tap a filled box to change it.
3. Watch the numbers. Each placement immediately reduces the tile’s available count. Undo or removing a draft letter restores that use.
4. Complete the puzzle. Fill every word slot and use all required letters to finish the level and unlock the next one.

Word Tiles Rules

• Drag any available tile into a word box. Board position and distance do not matter.
• Words have at least three letters. You cannot use the same tile twice in one word.
• A tile can be reused in different words until its counter reaches zero.
• A target word must leave enough uses of each tile for the remaining answers.
• Bonus words are recognized English words outside the target answers. They do not consume tile counters, and repeated words count only once. Open Bonus Words and choose Build a bonus word to try words of any length.
• There is no timer and no penalty for incorrect attempts.
• Undo removes your last draft letter, or restores your last target word when the draft is empty. Restart clears the current attempt while keeping unlocked levels.

Word Tiles Tips & Strategy

Start with tiles marked 1. These letters only need to appear in one remaining answer, making them useful clues.

Check the word lengths. Look at the empty slots and any given letters before choosing which word to build.

Pay attention to shared letters. Tiles with larger numbers must appear in several hidden words.

Look across the whole board. You can combine letters from different rows and columns. No connecting path is required.

Work backward from the remaining tiles. When only a few answers remain, the unused letter counts help reveal the solution.

Take a little help. Tap Hint to see a word directly above the answer boxes, with matching tiles numbered on the board. No popup or extra selection is needed. Every hint is free.
