How to play Spider Solitaire
- The 104 cards are split between ten columns (54 cards) and the stock (50 cards). Clear eight King-to-Ace runs to win.
- Place a card on the next higher rank, regardless of suit. Move a group only when its cards descend without gaps and share the same suit.
- An empty column can hold any card or a movable run. Fill all ten columns before dealing a new row from the stock.
- Uncover hidden cards and connect same-suit runs before dealing. Completing a King-to-Ace run removes it automatically.

Moving a run: before and after
New to Spider? Start with 1 suit
Learn Spider with spades only. Look for two exposed cards one rank apart: move a 6 onto a 7, for example. Once cards form an unbroken descending run, you can move them together. Work toward a full King-to-Ace sequence; it leaves the board automatically when complete.
First look for a move that turns over a hidden card. Next, connect short descending runs so they can travel together. If you clear a column, use it to reach buried cards. Draw from the stock after checking these options: the new row can interrupt the runs you have built.

Is Spider Solitaire free, with no download?

Which Spider Solitaire mode is easiest?
One suit removes suit sorting so you can learn descending runs. Two suits adds spades and hearts; four suits requires organizing spades, hearts, diamonds and clubs.
Why did the main page open my previous difficulty?
The main page resumes your most recently played mode when a readable save is available. Choose 1 Suit explicitly to open the beginner mode, or use the dedicated 2 Suits and 4 Suits pages.
How is Spider different from regular Solitaire?
Spider uses 104 cards and clears same-suit King-to-Ace runs. Unlike Klondike, you do not alternate red and black cards, and an empty column can hold any rank.
Why can’t I deal more cards?
All ten columns must contain a card before you can deal. The stock supplies five rows of ten cards; after that, you must finish using the cards already on the board.
How do I move cards on my phone?
Tap the first card of a movable run, then tap a valid destination column. Dragging also works. Only a consecutive descending run of the same suit can move as a group.
Can I continue later or switch language?
When browser storage is available, progress and records are saved separately for each difficulty on this browser. Switching language keeps the same mode’s save. Other devices and browsers do not share it; clearing site data removes it. Check the save message before leaving.
Is every Spider Solitaire deal solvable?
Deals are random and are not checked for solvability. A hint suggests a legal move, not a winning plan. Use Undo to explore alternatives, Restart to retry the same deal, or New Game for a different deal.
