MERGE FRUIT

How to Play Merge Fruit

Merge Fruit is a free fruit merge game you can play online in your browser. Start with an empty bowl, aim the fruit at the top and drop it into the space below. Move your mouse to aim and click to drop. On a phone or tablet, drag left or right inside the bowl and release. For keyboard play, focus the bowl, use the arrow keys to aim, then press Space or Enter to drop. There is no time limit and no sign-up.

When two matching fruits touch, they merge into the next fruit in the evolution chain. Gravity makes the new fruit roll and settle, sometimes setting off another merge. Watch the next fruit above the bowl before choosing a spot. Your goal is to build a watermelon, keep enough room for future drops and beat your best score.

Merge Fruit Rules

Only identical fruits merge. Follow the eleven-fruit chain from blueberry to watermelon; every merge earns points for the fruit it creates. The first five fruits can be dropped, while apple and larger fruit must be made by merging. Each 20-fruit bag contains six blueberries, five cherries, four strawberries, three limes and two oranges, with no more than three identical drops in a row.

Keep settled fruit below the orange dashed line. A falling fruit crossing the line does not end your run: a fruit must stay above it at low speed for 1.8 seconds after making contact. Moving below the line or merging cancels its countdown. Making a watermelon earns 350 points and play continues. Two watermelons merge away for 500 points, freeing space for more fruit. Chain messages celebrate consecutive merges without multiplying your score.

Merge Fruit Tips

Keep big fruit to one side

Choose an edge for your larger fruit and build toward it. A coconut or melon in the middle can split the bowl into two narrow spaces, making it harder to bring matching pairs together. Keep your plan flexible: a big fruit that rolls into a useful gap may be worth keeping there.

Leave room for rolling

Fruit is round, so the first landing point is rarely the final position. Aim slightly to the side of a pair to let the new fruit roll toward its match. Wait for the pile to settle before the next drop; there is no timer pushing you to rush.

Watch the next fruit

The next preview gives you one move of information. If a lime is coming, leave an accessible spot beside another lime. A small blueberry may work best in a shallow gap, but filling every gap immediately can leave nowhere useful for the next larger fruit.

Avoid trapping tiny fruit

A blueberry wedged between two large fruits can hold them apart. Try to combine small fruit near the surface while you can still reach it. Drop its matching partner on the open side instead of burying the gap with a larger fruit that cannot help it merge.

Build chain merges

Keep neighboring stages close enough to connect. Two cherries create a strawberry; placing that pair near an existing strawberry can lead straight to a lime. Near the danger line, a well-placed chain is often more valuable than a quick isolated merge. After making a watermelon, work toward a second one to clear both.

Merge Fruit FAQ

Is Merge Fruit free?

Yes. Merge Fruit is free to play in your browser, with no download or sign-up.

How do fruits merge?

Two identical fruits merge when their circular bodies touch. Different fruits can roll against each other but do not merge.

What is the biggest fruit?

Watermelon is the eleventh and biggest fruit. Only the first five fruit types appear as drops; larger ones come from merges.

What happens when I make a watermelon?

You earn 350 points and can keep playing. The first watermelon of each run gets a special celebration.

What happens when two watermelons merge?

Both disappear in a Mega Merge. You earn 500 points and gain space inside the bowl.

Does Merge Fruit work on mobile?

Yes. Drag horizontally inside the bowl and release to drop. You can also tap a position to drop there.

Is my best score saved?

Your best score and sound preferences are stored in this browser on this device when local storage is available. Clearing site data removes them. The current bowl is not saved after a refresh.

Why did my round end?

A settled, slow-moving fruit stayed above the orange danger line for 1.8 seconds. Falling through the line is safe; the warning resets if that fruit moves below it or merges.
