How to play
- Numbers show groups of filled cells.
- Read rows left to right and columns top to bottom.
- Leave at least one empty cell between groups.
- Use X to mark cells you know are empty.
Nonogram rules
A clue describes a continuous group, not its starting position. Keep groups in the given order with at least one empty cell between them. A 0 means the whole line is empty.
In five cells, 3 1 has only one arrangement.
Solving tips
- Start with forced lines. Look for cells shared by every possible arrangement.
- Cross-check rows and columns. A new mark can unlock another line.
- Use X to remember ruled-out cells. A faded clue means your current groups match, not that the answer has been verified.
Difficulty guide
Easy uses 5×5 grids, Medium 10×10 and Hard 20×20. These are our fixed size groups. Hard has more clues to combine; use Move and Zoom on a small screen. All three levels are available immediately.

Is Nonogram free?
Yes. Play in your browser without a download or account.
Do I need to mark every empty cell?
No. Reveal exactly the filled cells in the picture to win. X helps your reasoning but is not required everywhere.
Is there a time limit?
No. Time records your active play and pauses when the page is hidden or you choose Pause.
Can I continue later?
Your browser saves a separate puzzle for each difficulty when storage is available. Switching language keeps the same progress.
What happens when I use a hint?
You see a logical explanation and cell coordinates. Use the tools to make the move yourself; hints never change the board. If your marks contradict the solution, the hint clearly identifies an answer check instead.
How do I play a large grid on my phone?
Choose Move to pan without marking cells. Zoom changes cell size while keeping row and column clues aligned.
